WHAT IS A
RTD offers three pass programs:
Business EcoPass is an employer-sponsored pass that provides enrolled employees unlimited rides on RTD buses and trains.
Neighborhood EcoPass is a pass purchased by neighborhoods, apartment buildings or HOAs that provides residents unlimited rides on RTD buses and trains.
CollegePass is a college-sponsored pass providing students unlimited rides on RTD buses and trains for a nominal cost included in their tuition and fees.
HOW WOULD THE FARE ALTERNATIVES IMPACT PASS PROGRAMS?
The fare structure alternatives would have a direct impact on RTD’s pass program pricing. RTD uses the Local, Regional and Airport 3-Hour Pass prices and past transit use by passholders to determine pass program pricing.
In addition to the fare structure changes in Alternatives A and B that would impact pass program pricing, RTD is also exploring opportunities to simplify pass programs and encourage pass purchases. For more information on pass program simplification changes under consideration, visit the Other Policies and Programs page.
RTD will be using customer and community feedback to refine the alternatives and form a final recommendation for public comment in early 2023. To understand how the different fare structure alternatives impact, Local, Regional and Airport fares, visit the applicable page:
RTD will take steps to ensure that communication with members of the public with disabilities is effective throughout the study. Persons who require materials in alternative formats, need sign language interpretation, or require other communication consideration for participation, please contact RTD’s ADA Manager at Gabe.Christie@rtd-denver.com. Please provide three business days notice for services to be arranged.
